How to Add World Clock on Apple Watch
The following are the simple steps to follow to add the World Clock on your Apple Watch:
- Confirm that your Apple Watch is in range with your iPhone and connected to each other.
- Open the Clock app.
- Select the World Clock tab on the left corner of your iPhone’s screen.
- Tap the plus (+) icon.
- Use the search bar to find the name of a country or city.
- Choose a relevant result based on your preferred time zone.
- Save changes.
Keep in mind that changing the default World Clock region alters the time zone displayed when you launch the World Clock app. And any city or country you add to the World Clock on your iPhone will appear on your Apple Watch.
Use iPhone to Set a Default World Clock on Apple Watch
By default, World Clock displays the time of cities in the order in which you add them, but you can modify the arrangement to keep the times you want to monitor most visible.
- Open the clock app on your iPhone.
- Tap the World Clock tab.
- Select Edit.
- Tap and hold the city’s reorder button, the button presented by the three horizontal lines you see on the screen.
- Drag the lines up or down on the list and then let go when you are on the right spot.
- Tap the Done button to save the changes.

Add a New Time Zone on Apple Watch Face
You can add a new Time Zone on your Apple Watch’s face in just four steps.
- Open the Clock app on your iPhone.
- Tap World Clock.
- Search for the city, country, or state that you want to reference.
- Tap a time zone to add it to your Apple Watch’s face.
Add and Remove Cities on World Clock
To add cities:
- Open the World Clock app on your Apple Watch.
- Tap the list icon and then tap the plus icon.
- Dictate, scribe, or type the name of a city.
- Select the city name to add it to your Apple Watch.
To remove a city from the World Clock, simply identify the city’s name, swipe to the left, and then tap the “x” icon to remove.
Check Current Time in a Different City
To check the current time in a different city on your Apple Watch:
- Open the World Clock app.
- Tap the list icon.
- Swipe the screen up or down to check the time in different cities.
You can see even more information about each city if you want to. Simply tap a city’s name to see important details such when the sun rises and sets.

How to Change City Abbreviations
To change the abbreviations of different cities on the World Clock on your Apple Watch:
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Tap My Watch.
- Select Clock.
- Tap the City Abbreviations option.
- Choose any city and change its abbreviation.
For example, Los Angeles is LA, New York City is NYC, Alabama is AL, Georgia is GA, and West Virginia is WV.
How to Set World Clock on Apple Watch Face
The first step is to choose a watch face that supports multiple complications.
- Press and hold the welcome screen of your Apple Watch.
- Access the new menu by swiping right.
- Choose a watch face with multiple insets from the list.
- Tap Add.
- Customize the watch face to your liking.
The second step is to add the World Clock complication to one of the insets so that it appears on the home screen of your Apple Watch. To do this:
- Tap and hold the home screen until the watch face zooms out.
- Select Edit to open the customization screen.
- Tap an empty inset or an existing complication to change it.
- Use the Digital Crown to select the World Clock widget from the available complications.
- Save changes by pressing the Digital Crown.
- Press the Digital Crown one more time to exit the customize view.
