I’ve imagined that ChatGPT would come to Apple Watch only a few months after its launch on iPhone. And how fast this OpenAI’s AI chat has spread across platforms is a clear indication that AI is indeed the next big thing that’s here to stay.

Now you can use ChatGPT your Apple Watch via Petey app to get instant answers to questions and prompts from your wrist.

  • Use ChatGPT on your Apple Watch
  • Add Petey complication on your Apple Watch

Add ChatGPT App to Your Apple Watch

Petey AI Chatbot

OpenAI hasn’t built a native AI chatbot for watchOS yet. However, you can add ChatGPT to your smartwatch via Petey, a third-party Apple Watch app based on GPT4 model.

To get started:

  1. Press the Digital Crown.
  2. Open the App Store app.
  3. Tap the search icon and type “Petey”.
  4. Select Petey from the search results and tap Get.

Alternatively, you can add Petey to your Apple Watch via the Watch app your iPhone. Open the Watch app, select My Watch, scroll down to Available Apps, look for Petey, and tap the Install button next to it.

When it comes to setting up and using ChatGPT on your Apple Watch, you don’t have to do much once you have Petey installed. You don’t even need to create a user account. You simply have to:

  1. Press the Digital Crown.
  2. Find and tap the Petey icon.
  3. Tap “Ask Me Anything”.
  4. Write the question you have in mind.
  5. Tap “Done”.

Petey takes a few seconds to generate (extract) and display an answer relevant to the question you asked.

Below the Petey app is a share button, which allows you to share the generated response(s) via Mail or iMessage.

And as of this writing, you can ask Petey only one question at a time. Hopefully the app will support conversations in the future.

  2. Tap and hold down the watch face to enter the editing mode.
  3. Choose Edit to start.
  4. Swipe left to access the complications tab.
  5. Select the position of the complication you want to replace.
  6. Find and select Petey from the list of the available complications.
  7. Press the Digital Crown to go back to the watch face where you’ll see the Petey complication for quick access.

Is ChatGPT Good for Productivity?

ChatGPT is good for productivity because you can use it to draft and edit documents, prepare presentations, analyze data, generate ideas, debug codes, plan events, create content, generate leads, manage projects, and so much more.

And because ChatGPT is a great tool to get ideas flowing, you can use it to create powerful outputs, make work easier, and save time in the process.

Keep in mind that output from ChatGPT may not be 100% accurate. Therefore, you might have to do additional research and apply general knowledge to fix errors you may find from the extracted output.
