Letscom Fitness Tracker vs Fitbit: 6 Features Explained

Now that you have a clear summary of the similarities and differences between Fitbit and Letscom fitness tracker, let’s dig even deeper and look at each feature.

1. Design, Display, Software, and Price

To begin with, Letscom is an inexpensive fitness tracker with a carefully thought out build. Matched with the clean display screen is a flexible silico strap that holds the sensor in place for accurate stats reading.

Fitbit equally appeals to its audience because of a solid design and a clear OLED screen with a better viewing angle and visual clarity.

The difference between Letscom and Fitbit in terms of display is size and vibrancy. Fitbit’s screen is 1.4 inches big, which is about 0.4 inches more the size of Letscom. Fitbit’s screen is also brighter, so you can see content clearly even under direct sunlight.

As for the apps, Letscom fitness tracker uses Very Fit Pro and Fitbit devices work with Fitbit app, with Fitbit technology being more refined and reporting less bugs.

Fitbit bands are available in small, large, and extra-large sizes, so there’s something for everyone including users with small wrists. Letscom, on the other hand, features only a one-size ban, but it does fit most people well.

While no smartwatch or fitness tracker is truly waterproof, Fitbit and Letscom have decent water-resistance level.

Letscom uses the IP67 rating, which means the device is truly waterproof and Fitbit uses the 5 ATM rating to mean the same thing. And although you can take both watches to the shower or swimming pool, they aren’t suitable for scuba diving.

2. Activity Tracking

In real-time testing, both Fitbit and Letscom fitness and activity trackers performed extremely well for step tracking.

Provided your non-dominant arm is in constant motion, the two devices will log steps with a higher level of accuracy, making either of the trackers a good deal for step tracking.

Unfortunately, Letscom and some Fitbit models such as Ace 3, Luxe, Inspire 2, and Charge 5 can’t count flight of stairs because they lack a built-in altimeter.

So if you want to account for stairs climbed as part of the total steps taken, you should get Fitbit Charge 4, Versa 3, or Sense.

3. Smart Workout Tracking

The latest smartwatch and fitness tracker trend shows that Fitbit either includes new features to its new releases or improve the already existing functionalities found in the previous models.

SmartTrack is one of the technologies that makes the brand stand out from the competition. With this option turned on, the latest Fitbit models will automatically detect type of workout and log it for you in the app.

The problem with the SmartTrack technology is the lack of immediate response. You have to stick on the same activity for at least 15 minutes for the Fitbit device to determine the type of activity.

Letscom fitness tracker doesn’t include smart workout tracking. You’ll have to start exercise tracking from the display and then stop when your workout time is up.

4. Heart Rate Monitor

Fitbit and Letscom fitness trackers have built-in heart rate sensors that monitor your resting and peak heart rate.

The heart rate monitor is an innovative technology with a number of advantages.

For example, Fitbit uses HR to calculate calories burned and to determine the intensity of your workout on different types of exercises.

Letscom does the same.

To be clear, the heart rate data that you get from either device isn’t going to be 100% accurate. What you get is an estimate, which is still quite helpful, particularly when deciding to what extent to intensify your exercises.

One area where Fitbit outshines Letscom fitness tracker is the inclusion activity zones such as cardio and peak. But since there’s already an actual heart rate number on the screen, the activity zones may not be as useful.

You need to make sure you’re getting near accurate heart rate approximation from either device. So wear the devices to a snug on your non-dominant wrist.

5. Sleep Tracking

Both Letscom and Fitbit can track sleep and synchronize the data to Fitbit and Very Fit Pro app respectively.

These two devices divide sleep into four different categories:

  • Awake: Total time you’ve been awake in between sleep, with the normal duration lasting up to 30 minutes give or take.
  • Light Sleep: Your body will slow down a bit and get into the state of wanting to get to sleep.
  • Deep Sleep: You have slower breathing, with your body more relaxed than when you were awake.
  • REM Sleep: You’ll experience increased heart rate, with your body being more active and your eyes shifting from side to side.

Fitbit smartwatches and fitness trackers outshines Letscom when it comes to sleep tracking in at least two ways.

First, Letscom fitness tracker isn’t a data keeper. The sleep tracking technology is downright weak because the device can only keep the data for 24 hours.

What’s worse, Letscom resets sleep data at 12 A.M every day, which means that unless you fall asleep starting at exactly that time, the sleep tracking done by this device is an absolute waste for you.

Fitbit does things better.

With Charge 5, Luxe, Sense, and Versa, for example, you can access your sleep data for up to 7 days, with an additional 23 days of storage saved as daily total.

Second, Fitbit gives you a sleep score based on these stages, making it easy for you to gauge the quality of your sleep rather than making unsubstantial guesses.

Letscom doesn’t give you this information.

6. GPS System

Letscom fitness tracker doesn’t feature an onboard GPS. So those who own the device must depend on connected GPS if they want to track pace, distance, and routes.

Fitbit uses a different approach.

Instead of letting you rely on connected GPS alone Fitbit has built some models that come with onboard GPS.

While the built-in GPS is models such as Charge 5, Sense and Luxe can help you track distance and map your route, the GPS system will affect the device’s battery.

With the onboard GPS system turned, you can expect your Fitbit device to last 5 to 8 hours maximum before it shuts down.

Final Thoughts on Letscom Fitness Tracker vs Fitbit

Letscom may have been in the fitness tracker and smartwatch game for years. However, Fitbit devices are more powerful in terms of hardware build and performance optimization.

There’s nothing Letscom fitness tracker can do that Fitbit can’t. And from where I sit, the only thing that makes Letscom better than Fitbit is its cheaper price point.

For me, I’d pick a Fitbit any day. Because, even with a higher price point, Fitbit is always unveiling new features and improving the existing ones to give you the best value for your money.
